It's weird to think about skateboarding's popularity today. Some oldschool skaters say it's gone corporate. To some extent, their right. There are still tons of skater-owned companies; but even Nike is trying to get a piece of the rebellious pie.
When skaters started, it wasn't "the thing to do." They did it because they loved it!
I can definitely relate to that love. Hell, I'm 27 years old. I didn't start skateboarding to LOOK COOL, or GET FRIENDS or GO PRO! I'm past that point in my life. I don't do it for money, or fame. I do it because it's FUN! I genuinely enjoy every second of it. Even when I'm hurt. Even when I'm frustrated. I skateboard because it's FUN
And that's how it should be!!
